Redis Alert Relay
Redis alert publishing is optional and disabled by default. PacketEvents remains required to run FairPlay.
What this file controls
Redis Pub/Sub alert publishing is disabled by default. Delivery is at-most-once and local logs remain local. Redis does not replace PacketEvents, which is required to run FairPlay.
Settings include the Redis URI, server identifier, alert channel, event-age and payload limits, reconnect delay, and deduplication limits. Treat the URI as deployment configuration and keep credentials private.
Before enabling publishing, confirm the server can reach Redis and that access controls protect the configured credentials.
Separate optional relay from required transport
- Back up
redis.ymland decide whether Redis alert publishing is needed; it defaults to disabled. - Keep PacketEvents installed. Configure the Redis URI, server identifier, alert channel, event-age and payload limits, reconnect delay, and deduplication settings for your deployment.
- Confirm network reachability and Redis access controls. Delivery is at-most-once; local logs stay on the server.
- Redact the URI and credentials when recording changes or troubleshooting.
