In PvP and Practice servers, one bad reach or autoclicker fight can ruin the match. In Survival and SMP servers, KillAura, AutoTotem, scaffold, and fastbreak abuse can ruin economy and base defense. In Factions, combat unfairness turns into territory loss and chargebacks.

A combat anticheat must do more than post alerts. It must help staff decide quickly, reduce abuse while a case is building, and keep legitimate players from feeling punished by server-side uncertainty.

FairPlay's combat-first coverage

FairPlay includes aimbot, autoclicker, hitbox, reach, occlusion, KillAura, scaffold, AutoTotem, Elytra, BadPackets, Criticals, Timer, FastBreak, and inventory detections. These checks are backed by per-check YAML configuration, global punishment tiers, debug output, and optional hook context from external anticheats.

The mitigation system can reduce damage, cancel hits, prevent follow-up block placement, notify staff, run commands, and give victims targeted reach compensation against verified cheaters.

What admins should configure first

Start with alerts and hover debug. Tune high-noise checks before automatic punishment. Add damage cancel and hit cancel for confirmed abuse windows. Enable block-place prevention for scaffold-heavy servers. Keep global punishment tiers consistent, then override individual checks only when production data proves the need.
